When God speaks of a favorable time, Israel was in a desolate condition. Ruins were everywhere, both physically and spiritually. The people engulfed in such a sad situation had no power nor strength to make changes to the situation. But they were looking far away for the One whom they have been promised to redeem them. When situations are getting worse and worse, prayers and crying are becoming intense.
In fact, God’s time is at hand. God is now willing to strengthen the fainted. It’s a time to wipe tears off of their eyes. Those who cry are going to be declared “blessed”! God raises salvation from among them, not from far. The same nation that has been ruined and lost all hopes are going to save nations! The same will be the covenant of people. How?
The Lord spoke! When He speaks things happen! When He speaks things exist, things get shapes and forms. In our today’s Bible verse, the Almighty God is speaking!
“Thus saith the LORD, In an acceptable time have I heard thee, and in a day of salvation have I helped thee: and I will preserve thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, to establish the earth, to cause to inherit the desolate heritages;” Isaiah 49፥8
“እግዚአብሔር እንዲህ ይላል፦ በተወደደ ጊዜ ሰምቼሃለሁ፥ በመድኃኒትም ቀን ረድቼሃለሁ፤ እጠብቅህማለሁ፥ ምድርንም ታቀና ዘንድ፥ ውድማ የሆኑትንም ርስቶች ታወርስ ዘንድ፥” ትንቢተ ኢሳይያስ 49፥8
PRAYER : Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for setting up a time of visitation for each one of us. Thank you for your Word that creates great things from nothing, restores the ruined and gives hope to the hopeless. Now help us to respond to you, submit to your will when it’s the favourable time, when it is a day of grace and mercy. I pray restoration and fulfillment in the life of anyone receiving this message. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
